about minimalism

minimalism as its promoted

the fact that big companies making minimalism mainstream for web (and for our lifestyles too) while all they do is making things way more bloated than ever is a big sarcasm to me. i feel humiliated every time i see big ads, auto-play videos (which are completely not related to the what im looking for), a shitty BIG BOX asking for my consent to harvest my browser footprint, ad bars at top and bottom wasting 4/5 of the screen space on smaller screens, one more box asking for my email to register their ai generated blog no one reads and useless resource (both computer resource and real life resources which one of them is your FREE TIME) wasting tons of features spesifically designed to abuse my personal information. and all of this struggle is just to read a blog promoting minimalism. absolute wowzerz. they even used gray text color on solid white background to show us how minimalist they are... how minimalist they are!

i dont think you think im joking if you spend maximum 10 minutes on the web. its crowded as a cobweb as it was predicted. as i was talking about, big companies promoting such behaviour feels so evil to me. weird thing is that users tend to use terrible services over better ones because its more popular✨, first result on the search engine✨ etc... problem is that people using internet dont ackchyually know how it works and how it should be used. and almost all websites know it damn well and try to abuse it as much as they can do.

im pretty sure you also got exposed to minimalist life style things at least once. if you look closely you will see that theres no difference between it and the websites promoting minimalism which, in fact, isnt minimalist at all because it was intended to be like that, i can feel rich people watching us and laughing all day while us have to deal with these fake plastic made up things. (im not saying minimalism is made up. but the new meaning of it is.)

its impressive how people used to create minimalist and resource-friendly websites when computers were slower. being minimalist was like a must because not everyone had fast computers and internet back then. AND TODAY TOO, not everyone has fast computers and internet speeds. wouldnt you design such a website for everyone to easily connect? i dont understand why web developers design websites assuming everyone has a fast computer and internet. (im not saying decent computer or connection speed here, and even if i do, would you ignore the so called minority who have "bad" computers that work perfectly well except for loading your crappy bloated website?)

tech illiterate people using tech and companies with zero morals caused this. i know i sound just like a nerd but its the absolute truth. im also not an expert about surfing the web but i at least know how should i behave if i enter a website like the one i described in the first paragraph, closing the tab and moving on, like everyone should do.
